When should I start the alterations process?

  • bridal: our typical turnaround time is 8-10 weeks. Additional time is required for customization (ie. custom sleeves and straps) and Extensive handwork required with heavily beaded garments. Keep in mind, if you’re Taking bridal portraits that Will likely move up our timeline and may inCur a rush fee.

  • formal wear: TYPICAL turnaRound time is 3-4 Weeks. 2 weeks or less is subject to a priority rush fee!

I have weight goals I want to meet for my wedding. When should I book my first fitting?

In order to achieve the best fit possible we ask that our clients book their first fitting once they are ready to maintain their weight throughout the entire ALTERATIONS process (Typically 8-10weeks).

drastic weight gain or loss will result in ADDITIONAL time to complete your dress and more cost to you.


How many fittings are there?

BRIDAL: MINIMUM OF 2-3 FITTINGS ARE REQUIRED.

Formal wear: typically 1. MORE Fittings may be required for EXTENSIVE WORK AND CUSTOMIZATION.


How long does the tailoring process take?

bridal: 8-10 weeks from first fitting to final pick up appointment.


What should I bring to my fitting?

be sure to bring your shoes*, Bra, and shaPewEar to each fittings. IF YOU CHOSE TO NOT WEAR A BRA sew-in bra cups are available for purchase during fitting and often suggested so that your undergarment is not visible!
*the APPROPRIATE shoes are required at each fitting. Please bring the shoes you Intend to wear on your wedding day/event. CHANGING YOUR ShoeS/HEEL height cAN LEAD TO INCONSISTENCIES IN FIT AND LENGTH OF YOUR GOWN.


Can I bring guests to my fitting?

Yes! While we do not have a Maximum number of guests, We can comfortably seat 6-7 guests. WE WELCOME GUESTS OF ALL AGES, HOWEVER, for safety reasons (we work with LOTS OF PINS AND SHARp tools!), and to minimize distractions, ALL CHILDREN must be accompanied by an adult throughout the duration of your visit (we recommend bringing a family member or friend to help out!


When is payment due?

At your first fitting, you will be given a range of the cost based on what you want and need done to you your gown. A Payment of 60% is due at your first fitting and the remaining 40% is due at your second or third fitting appointment (regardless of type of garment).

We do not begin work until payment is received.
